Recap

Ok Ok. So my postings have been sparse, but for good reason. One, of course, I am *on fire* with the energy most Canadians feel once summer arrives and have been cottaging and enjoying the outdoors. Two, I need a new computer (this thing is soooooooooooo slow). Three, I've yet to transfer this site to Livejournal to facilitate filters so I can tell some of you what's *really* been going on (the good, the bad, and the ugly that goes along with both).

So at the start of June I got to see one of the two artists in this world I admire most - Leonard Cohen. It was such a remarkable experience and well worth the insane amount of money the ticket cost. I've been a fan since I was a teenager and to see that man live, on stage, at the age of 75 - with his dark humour, and wise spirit - well, it was just more than I could have hoped for.

Cory also got to go and see one of the things he admires most - (thanks to two of the nicest and funniest people I know) the Stanley Cup.

Naomi is hilarious - just simply hilarious. She laughs whole-heartedly at her sister all the time. She's pulled herself to a sitting position from laying down, and she isn't afraid to express her opinions (I wonder WHERE on earth she gets that...). She often reaches up to feel the face of the person putting her in her crib after she's fallen asleep- and if the face has whiskers - well LOOK OUT!

On Georgian Bay

Let me tell you 'bout the birds and the bees...

E: (while watching a young lad of 4 or 5 at Kiwanis park) He's a boy. So...I bet there is a penis under that swimming suit.
Rowan the Girl: 'Cuz boys have penises and girls have baginas. (my friend) is a boy, and he has a penis.
E: Jeremy...do you have a penis?
Jeremy: Yes Evie. I do have a penis.
E: 'Cuz your a boy, right Jeremy?
Jeremy: That's right. I'm a boy.
